Bummer that Alvin has gone out of business. Oh well. These architectural scales are fine though not nearly the same feel as the bamboo scales (Alvin #240B). They will do the job! Thank you for having them in stock.

I really like the black color of the scale; the color makes it easier to ready the marks on the scale and seems to help in reducing eye strain. The strong durable plastic holds up well and I expect to have several years' worth of use of it.
