Mayline makes the best straightedge/parallel bar. It stays parallel (unlike those bars that have the wire underneath the board) and helps me with my drawings.

The Drafting Straightedge seems to be well made and came packaged well, and deliver pretty quickly. I am pretty well pleased, however I wish that there was a two different types of top mounting clips to choose from, (over edge as was supplied, and a flat top mounting type) as I had to remove the entire drafting top and hinge from the desk just to make it work with my setup. All in all, I am pleased with my purchase.

 

I do not have it installed yet but I expect it to perform as well as the 30 year old one it is replacing.

I draw residential plans old school, pencil & vellum where a parallel straight edge is indespensible.

My old one has held up well and needed replacing as the metal rollers are getting worn. I expect

this new one to outlive me!

I purchased the straight edge with Delron rollers but received it with metal rollers. Other than that, the item is fine.
