Truck shipment delivers your order to the tailgate of the truck. Unless you have specifically contracted for a Lift Gate and / or Inside Delivery, the truck driver is only responsible for moving your merchandise to the tailgate (the end) of their truck. They are not responsible for unloading your merchandise. Many drivers will gladly help you unload your freight, and some may even help you get the items inside, but they are not obligated to. There is an extra charge for a Lift Gate and/or Inside Delivery. You may be able to contract these services at the time of delivery, however these extra services will be billed to you.
Lift Gate - For an additional fee (shown during checkout), a smaller truck with a lift gate will lower your merchandise from the truck to the ground.
Lift Gate & Inside Delivery - Your order can be moved from the curb to a ground-level location just inside your door. Delivery drivers cannot move items up or down steps/stairs or to a specific location. Uncrating and disposing of packing materials is not included. Pricing varies, please call for more details.
Special Delivery Requests - Please note that any special requests by customer at the time of delivery will not be paid for by Drafting Equipment Warehouse.
