The company I used to order these pencils from discontinued selling them. I am glad DEW has the available. DEW promptly delivered my order, and I plan on ordering more products from this company.

I love the look of the pencil. The pencil functions well. However, the actual writing of the pencil isn't as polished as the old Y&C Grip 350 or 500. I still love the retractable or double-knock function of the pencil. Putting softer lead like 2B or 4B really helps the pencil write better. Overall, I would definitely buy again and recommend these pencils for writing or for use in art or draft work.

The retractable tip design on this pencil is exceptional. It pulls the delicate parts far into the pencil body, keeping them well protected. I keep my pencils in my cargo pants pocket, so they take their fair share of abuse, and this is the only design I have never had a problem with.

The pencils are a joy to use. They are slim with nice rubber grips that give the feeling of full tactile control. And aesthetically, the sight, sound, and feel when you click the mechanism satisfies some deep intrinsic need for close contact with mechanical precision.

I like these pencils a lot, and keep a few around. I have hot been able to find a price comparable to this source.

I was buying Alvin Draf/Tec 0.5 pecils from another company they discontinued selling the pencils. I like them because they are retractable, this helps me while measuring in the field. I once reached into my pocket and my hand was stabbed. Alvin make quality drafting tools.
