I have used this same ruler design for 40 years. It lays flat and is out of the way, its thin profile makes it easy to get exacting measurements, the bright white plastic makes it easy to read unlike clear rulers, and the 18" length is a plus over the standard 12" ruler. Nothing else on the market compares.

<p>I was looking for this exact product to replace one my brother owned and had duct taped together in his desk. It is useful to have a ruler longer than just 12 inches so I bought an extra one for myself and a 3rd for our mom. Also appreciate having the font size and graphics info readily available</p>
