Another German product from alvin. This french curve set is a great deal at DEW, far cheaper than Amazon or other retailers. Plastic quality is high, inking edges are generous, and it feels solid. I haven't had to sand down any bumps on the edges at all. This is my second set from DEW as I use one for airbrush.

These French curves by Alvin were actually made in Germany which is very rare to find these days. CAD is good but there is nothing like doing drawings by hand. I’m glad to have been able to add these to my drafting equipment.

I came to the DEW website to buy one or two French curves, but this 8-piece set of Alvin French curves caught my eye and won me over! The curves are versatile, and the plastic is just the right weight with a good balance of hardness and flexibility. I especially like the inking edge. It works well with a variety of pens and pencils, and does not obscure the tip of the nib or lead.
