I purchased the Alvin 568 Divider to use as a measuring device in fly tying. Tails on flies are typically the length of the hook shank. I set the length of the shank with the divider and then can transfer that length to the tailing material and tie it down. And it's easy to double check the length after tie down. The dividers can be also use to check the wing height and many other measuring aspects in fly tying. It's a quality tool no tier should be without!
