The aluminum construction is well done and feels that it will be very durable. All of the slides work well, it was easy to install, and the stop knob built into the parallel bar itself is very convenient.

Quality built instrument and was easy to install. I am pleased with my purchase.

My old plastic Mayline parallel rule warped one hot day, but this aluminum parallel rule is very good quality, heads above what I'd had, plus it arrived quickly. Thank you Drafting Supplies

These are a dying breed. This one is better than the maylines that I considered standard before (no longer made).

Nice quality and smooth rolllers. But if using drafting dots to secure your drawing, be careful to lift up the parallel rule away the drafting board each time when sliding up and down. Otherwise, the low stance of the bar's top plastic edge, will catch the edge of the drafting dots and "roll them up" and off of your drawing.
