The battery powered Placom Planimeters are ideally suited for use on locations, where an electric power supply is not readily available ( in the field, in plan rooms, etc.). Comes with built in rechargeable batteries for 30 hours of use (Battery recharge time: 14 hours), Instruments can also be operated directly from the power supply/recharger, cumulative capabilities, 6 digit counting capacity to minimize the danger of potential counter overruns, 8 digit display with function indicators, and automatic averaging of 2 or more results. Other special featuers include automatic scale compensation, the final measuring results can be expressed in any of the following unit values : sq.in., sq.ft., acres, sq.cm., sq.m. and sq.km., automatic upshifting into the next higher measuring unit if results exceed 8 digits, and the use of different horizontal and vertical scales. The Measuring Mechanisms of the 45C Model are suspended by a wheel assembly for an extended length range. This principle also provides very smooth operation, since the weight of the measuring mechanisms is resting on the wheels.
