Does not slide up and down that great, very sticky and hard to move up and down - will try some talc powder in slide rail. Purchased to draw room dimensions and details on customers site. We use to create base drawing then submit to supplier of cabinets who draws with Computer CAD. We are remodelers - Kitchen & Bath. Wish it worked better. Would pay more for a better unit.

I really like that it's small, lightweight and portable. The straight edge gets annoying though, it does it's job and does lock in place when needed but sliding it isn't very smooth, and it's not actually attached to the board in any way (a groove on the back fits into a groove in the board) so it just pulls off completely with a light touch. Decent for the price and what I need it for.
