The absolute best!

Cons:
The is the finest 0.1mm technical pen I have ever owned when factoring in price and quality.
It does not leak, is very dependable, and lasts against wear and tear. I've owned it for several months and use it almost daily. It's my go-to pen of choice for artwork and design.
It outperforms all of the Alvin technical pens in my set of five. If only the other four were built like this one. Pity.

Well made low budget pen.

  • Longevity
  • tolerances and/or build quali
The price is unbeatable objectively.
This pen is for short time usage and will not last years. A quick fix if you will, or until your high dollar, high quality pens arrive. The specs and/or tolerances are not tight enough. Four of my five various sized pens leak and are a disaster waiting to happen. In addition, one of these four, my 0.2 cracked along the body then the nib.
Buy one, get in, get out, or order the good stuff.

Good entry level pen

Cons:

  • body plastic finish
I was surprised to find technical pens at this price, bought it with some reservations, but since Alvin is a well established brand I decided to give a try. The body of the pen is a little under finished, little pieces of plastic here and there, but can easily be removed with a sharp knife (been careful). The screwing thread on my pen was slightly bad and had difficult putting the nib on. Did contacted Alvin and they replaced my hole pen.

One thing that I must point out is that the .1 pen body is not compatible with the .2 tip/nib (and possible other sizes). the ink reservoir and nib are completely different (unusual in other brands). see picture.

The performance is great. the pen work really nice and smooth from the the start, I haven't had any issues with neither ink flow or else. I see no substantial difference between my Isographs and these while drawing. Over all a good pen, definitely a pen i will be buying again if I need to.
