Alvin weight bags are exactly what i wanted, great quality.
Only complaint is it only comes in tan
Excellent workmanship throughout. The aesthetics are excellent. It obviously is also very functional. This review may seem strange to some of you, but as someone who uses and sees this during creative process, anything that is visually discordant in not only jarring, but it intrudes on this process. If this is not important to you, then you will be quite pleased with the cheaper and shoddily made version. In my view, the product is well worth the money and it is a welcome aesthetic addition to this private world.
Wrapping presents? Leather weight bags are incredibly handy to hold down the lead corner of rolled gift wrapping paper as you unroll and cut. (They also keep the cylinder from escaping off the table while you're busy wrapping boxes.) You can gently pull a sheet of paper from under the weight without anything tearing. I'll set a weight on top of a wrapped parcel to hold the folds in place while I go to grab tape. Can't get through the holidays without one of these. Also great for weighting items when I am matting or gluing something. I leave one on my desk to keep my laptop power cord from slithering away behind furniture when I unplug it. So many uses. Like this product very much: not TOO heavy, leather is smooth but not slippery, form has some "give" (will soften even more with use, I'm sure) and the stitching is even and tight. High quality.
I'm a return customer because I love these weight bags! They are well-made, stitched cleanly, and there are no sharp edges. I like the smooth feel of the bags, and their uniformity makes them easy to stack when not in use. I've had some for over five years and they look almost as new as the two I just purchased! They're evenly weighted and perfect for holding down plans and other large paper documents. I think the price is very fair for what you get.
