Pros:
    Cons:
    • board clamp should be wider

Had a plastic pantograph and it was unstable hard to work with.

Alvin Pantograph is easy to work with and is ridged, stable, and allows good control.

24" length gives great working range for copying photos to canvas for painting.

The hold down board clamp should have a wider clamping range. I as able to work around it but it is something that should be looked into.

    Doesn't work, waste of money

    Pros:
    • concept
    Cons:
    • quality
    • disfunctional
The instructions for set-up and use are clear enough to follow. Unfortunately, the clamp is too small to fit on the table; the whole apparatus is clunky, the enlarged image doesn't resemble the original image in any manner. Huge disappointment. This product should not be available for sale. Waste of time, waste of money.

    Cons:
    The pantograph came quickly.
The instructions were clear. I am an artist and was enlarging images of my own on a canvas. As the canvasses were 1.5 inches off the table, I had to construct a new anchor point for the pantograph, so I could work on the higher images. After we got that figured out, transferring the images was easy, as the pantograph was meant to be used.

I will have to keep playing around with ratios, but even that became familiar after a while. The pantograph works just fine. I greatly appreciated that it was made in the USA and sold here.

    Thanks, good job!

I had one of these instruments years ago. It has long since disappeared.
I am now a working leathersmith and am currently doing a series of family Coats of Arms.
I haven't used it yet but am familiar with it's function. Many of the Coats of Arms I research are small and the finished product goes into a 10"x12" shadow box frame, so, I'm sure, it will do the enlarging task with no issues.
